Study abroad in England for biochemistry?

my American university has agreements with Sussex, Leeds, UCL, Sheffield, and LSE. I want to contribute to research and be able to travel around. Can anyone local or with study abroad experience tell me about each school, places to see, and any other useful information.

Well academically speaking Sheffield is the better university, it is in no. 4 position in the UK league tables in this particular subject.

The UK is relatively small so travelling around and visiting places is convenient. From Sheffield to London it is about a 3 hour drive. Sheffield to Manchester (Englands 3rd largest city) its about a 30 minute drive. The UK is connected by a series of motorways so it is easy to travel from a to b. I'm not sure about these universities in great detail...you should go online at ucas.co.uk
