fly airplanes there.
I am a student pilot earning my private pilots license in the U.S. when i study abroad in australia can i?
Yes. You can read about the required procedures here on their aviation authority's site:
http://www.casa.gov.au/fcl/overbr.htm
Especially look at the first three links under "After an Australian License".
Reply:I'm not totally sure about that but you can search it. There's bound to be something. You may have to have an instructor with you the first time you fly out of any airport, but any time after that out of the airport you shouldn't need an instructor. I know that Chinese people come and get their ratings for IFR, Twin, Night and Commercial then go home and fly commercial boeings, without further study. Australia's not that flexible but we're pretty good.
Reply:Everything is the same here in Oz, you just need to find a school to continue with, bring your logbook and any qualifications you may already have. The school will check you out and if satisfied, you can carry on from where you left off. They will supply any further info you may need as necessary.
