Do you have any advice for an American student preparing to study abroad in Edinburgh Scotland?

I've never been to Scotland before. All I know is that its a beautiful, traditional, and yet diverse country.

Reply:Have a wonderful adventure! Good Luck!
Reply:get a translation guide. they have a few different words for things...
Reply:Please don't take it the wrong way, but why study in a country you don't know much about? Sure Scotland is a beautiful country %26amp; we pride ourselves on our traditions %26amp; diversity here, but there is more to Scotland than this. Scotland can be as good or as bad a country as anywhere else on the planet.
Reply:Have fun. Be safe. Spend as much free time as you have going around and getting to know Scotland.
Reply:Have fun! See the sights, get a kilt, and eat some tatties with every meal! Yes, some words are different and occasionally the accent gets so heavy it's hard to understand them, but mostly it isn't that bad at all. Good luck!
