Is it a good idea to try to study abroad in two differant countries for two smesters in each country?

It would depend upon what your degree is and what you plan to do with your life. If you can use that time to master two different languages, then the year that your degree might be delayed would be well worth it. People who speak several languages (especially Americans who are VERY language challenged) are very valuable in the work force.

If you can afford it, do it!

Probably not. I think it would put you too far off course in your degree. You'd graduate late. It might be better to do one, two semester long exchange, and for the second overseas experience, do a summer program.
