I want to be a foreign exchange student my senior year (I will be a junior this year) but I need ways to raise money. I am looking into scholarships and have a job, but was wondering if people will actually buy fundraising merchandise from me if it is a cause that only really benefits one person.
Is it selfish to hold a fundraiser to raise funds for one person to study abroad for a year?
I think it would be ok as long as you tell them it is for you to go study abroad, but if you don't get enough money you need to find something else charity wise to give it to because they are giving it to the charity of your education.
