Where can I find a full-time job advising students about study abroad?

I really want to work in a university (or high school) with students who want to study abroad. but I can't find ANYTHING. I've tried lots of websites like higheredjobs.com, studentaffairs.com, etc. does anybody know of any other websites or something else I should try? specifically like a work-with-study-abroad-students website or something!! I can't find anything!! =( thanks!

Whenever you go to a university or college, one of the first people you will meet is an academic counselor. These are people who advise new students about particular courses of study that the student might be interested in. At my college, we have a study abroad director, who is in contact with just about every nation in the world at one time or another. He advises strictly about study abroad programs.


If you have already done study abroad, do it again! You need lots of experience to get the study abroad director's job. You also need at least a masters degree. Good luck!

I don't know about websites or anything, but I do that in Lat Am. I work independently and advise many different schools who do not have counsellors who advise on study abroad. You can try that or also... travel agencies. Really, a lot of travel agencies offer study abroad programs. "Study Abroad" really means a lot of things so you might try being more specific.
Reply:Well, why don' t you try the local Universities and apply directly to their job postings. Good luck that would be my advice to you.
