Unfortunately I may only have one month to study over there b/c I can't get any more time off. If that's too short of a time frame, do you know anything about learning vacations?
Where should i study abroad in france?
First, choose your location. I think any main city (we do have a lot of cities) will have some sort of language school.
Paris is an obvious choice. Expensive but you'd be able to see a lot of things.
Biarritz is supposed to be a great town. I've never been there, but I would love to live there (I know, doesn't sound logical)!
Bordeaux is supposed to be posh!
Brittany is supposed to be great if you like bars and beer! Plus, there are many things to visit there.
Marseilles might seem a bit dangerous. But it's a big city and is close to the city and is not posh.
Toulouse is supposed to be great too. University town with plenty of things to do (careful: I heard that in the summer, it's not as busy and can be boring)
I lived in Toulon. Don't go there! The area is great (beautiful, scenery) but the town is not that great).
Nice... Didn't really like it but I think it was just me. However, they are building a tram so the center is a big cnstruction area. However, you can still do plenty of things and there is the old town and diferent areas. Plus, same as for Toulon: the surrounding area is beautiful.
Lilles (North) is supposed to be great for partying (plenty of students)
and so is Lyon (I wanted to live there but ended up in Nice).
Anyway, choose your town first, depending on what you're interested in (the beach? museums? visit the countryside? surfing? etc...), then you'll be able to find a school. The important thing here is that you meet people (I'm not sure you'll be able to learn much as far as language is concerned at school in a month) and are able to visit and have fun.
Reply:ecole des roches im gon there this summer and they teach u frnech and u do a bunch of stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Go to the nearest strip club. They have a lot of broads.
Reply:You can't go to college or take a class for a month. That makes no sense. You can try taking some sort of French Culture class of 6 weeks time in the summer or something. They teach you to write, speak and taste wine among other things. Try the french consulate website for options otherwise colleges in the US have study abroad programs over summer vacation and they'll accept non enrolled students.
Reply:Call the french embassy and ask about it.They will give you info about what you can do and where,or give you a number to call at the office that is responsible for this.
Reply:Go to the Alliance Francaise in your large American city. They will be able to help with classes and information.
