Can you answer any of my study-abroad questions?

I'm from the USA, and I want to be a exchange student.

I'm still in high school, I'm 18, but this is my senior year.

Now, I would like to know if anybody can suggest any exchange student programs? If so, please recommend one.

I also need some financial aid to go along with this program, and/or grants, scholarships, loans etc.

I would like to go to either Sweden, Italy, France, Germany, and Russia. So, there are programs out there that specialize in one of these countries, please refer me to them.

And possibly, if you ever been an exchange student, can you give me any kind of help and tips about it, and can you tell me about your experience?

Thanks, I appreciate any kind of help.

Can you answer any of my study-abroad questions?
I am a sophmore in high school and next year I am studying abroad in germany. I got a full scholarship (meaning I pay nothing). i will be there for 10 mon. The only advice I can give you is take it very seriously because you don't get to come back home during that time. here is the link.

Reply:You can check out www.goabroad.com. It has exchange programs for most countries. Some of these programs also offer scholarships and other stuff.
Reply:Well, Nice thing to be a exchange student.

1st of all finish your high school and then visit the following web address to choose your country to study at www,groups.yahoo.com/group/b_desh.

Later details of college and university will be in that web address.

Reply:Why don't you go to the counselor's office?
Reply:As a matter of fact, several exchange organizations have "13th year programs". Most of them involve Germany as most of their students remain in school a year longer than American students do (in other words, it takes 13 years to graduate).

Therefore, those schools take American high school graduates.

You can find a list of programs certified to operate in the US at www.csiet.org or contact your high school counselor.

There are also some limited scholarship opportunities available to Germany, especially if you are a minority student. Your exchange organization will also be able to help you with fund raising ideas, etc.

I have hosted 12 students, and know that this can be a wonderful adventure for you if you are able to go. American colleges and universities also appreciate former exchange students and give admission points (and sometimes extra cash!).

If you are accepted, I recommend you begin some basic language training in advance! It is nice to be able to greet your hosts in their own language AND to have some basic functioning ability when you arrive!

Good Luck!
