I just graduated college and am interested in travelling abroad, though don't want to pay a massive amount of money. I'm considering things like PeaceCorps. Do you know of any other options?
What are some legitimate volunteer/study/teach abroad programs?
There are many legitimage teach abroad organizations or volunteer abroad organizations. Some I might suggest are ProPeru, Appalachians Abroad (takes you to teach in China), the Methodist Church and the Catholic Church as well as the Mormon Church and Lutheran Church have many such programs if you are somewhat religious. Also Habitat for Humanity does lots of work abroad.
Depending on your major the Red Cross might be interested.
The Peace Corps is a good choice and very rewarding. I've been there, done that in Africa. Loved it.
